review 1: 4.5 stars -- OK, really enjoyed this one. I mean, a couple of nerds grown up? Yes please. And I wasn't sure how I'd like Georgia from previous books, b/c I personally just can't vibe with the whole brand name everything....but she became so much more than the whiny brat in this book. Seeing her grow and figure out what made her tic....you just rooted for her and wanted her to come into her own. She was so exactly what Seth and Logan needed. And the whole scene with the ladies of Bliss was perfection.... Watching her figure people out and want to help them...yeah. I don't even know what I'm saying, but I enjoyed this so much more than I was expecting.
review 2: When I started in on this one I considered it “Logan’s story”. He was by far the charact
... moreer that I thought would take center stage in the story. I was a bit worried that the trio’s story would be overshadowed by Logan’s own personal story. Sophie Oak did a phenomenal job at blending Logan’s backstory in with so much of Seth’s and Georgia’s that I started thinking of it as belonging to all three of them somewhere around chapter four and stopped thinking of it as Logan’s. Obviously Logan had my heart from page one but what I didn’t expect was how much sympathy I began to feel for Seth. He carried a lot on his shoulders for a very long time in order to pull off his plan. There were a ton of ups and downs for all three of the characters and it made for a great read. Fans of Oak, and her Bliss series especially, will not be disappointed with this addition. If you haven’t read the Bliss series and are interested I would highly recommend starting at book one and working your way through. It is too good to miss a single book. And here is my only complaint. THE COST! Good heavens Siren publishing. I paid $7.39 for this on Amazon for the ebook. And when it is released in print I will be buying it in that format also, but let me say…. OUCH! That really hurts my bank balance. Yes, the book was long, and thank you Sophie for giving me and all of your other readers a wonderful book, but Siren, consider lowering the prices. Siren’s prices are one of the reasons I have slacked off on buying many of their books. And rarely buy their books in print. Honestly, books that I classify as “keepers” from Siren hardly ever get bought in print (as is my habit for keepers) because I would like money to buy other books too. Maybe if I had won the Powerball….. but I didn’t. less
