review 1: I'd heard good things about this series and I was excited it was being republished this year. The premise of the story really appealed to me as I love a bit of mythology mixed in with my fiction. That being said, the romance moved too fast for me and missed out a lot of the angst I've grown to love in NA books. The characters relationship focused on larger mythological problems rather than on the characters developing attachment to each other. It was an entertaining read and we'll written -expertly woven with Norse mythology. I'm glad I read it but I'm not overwhelmed by it. I would recommend this to people who like fantasy romance NA.
review 2: I received his book in return for review. This was my kind of book.It opens with Kristia in her hometown looking for
... more a way to get out just like her best friend. That opportunity comes in the form of a years study abroad in Cardiff. Jumping at the chance to get out, meet people who she hasn't known all her life, she sets off for the UK. As soon as she lands in London, her life as she knows it begins to change, she just has no idea just how much. When Kristia meets Ull, he acts angry and cold. Kristia doesn't understand what she had done, but soon forgets all about him when she moves to her new home for the next year. But Ull is not all that easy to forget, especially when he turns up in her mythology class. A. Lass that comes to become a whole lot more real. What do you do when you discover your boyfriend is a Norse god?! What do you do when you discover all that you are leaning in class is real history, and some of it hasn't happened yet?The relationship between Kristia and Ull isn't easy, they have their issues but they muddle on through. It's not easy not falling in love with a sexy God determined to win over your heart. From a florist amount of flowers, and some of the most romantic dates, the outcome was inevitable. This was a great New Adult book, a combination of romance and Norse mythology that worked well together. If you have been into the films Thor and The Avengers, give this book a go for an extra fix of sexy Gods. less
