BOOK REVIEW: Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover

I. Can’t. Stop. Smiling!!!
Maybe Someday has to be one of the BEST books I’ve read in my entire life. I started in this morning and finished it this evening and I feel like my heart has been put through the ringer. Good Gawd…
Okay, so here’s the deal. Sydney’s boyfriend kind of sucks, which is how she finds herself sharing an apartment with Ridge and his two friends. Well, one friend. One Hooter’s waitress that isn’t all that pleasant. Syd is trying to put her life together and recover from the betrayal of those she loved most, but then there’s Ridge and his perfect girlfriend. And I do mean perfect. Not even kidding, guys, if you’re trying to ship Ridge and Sydney (I need a ship name… Ridney? Sydge?…Nevermind) it’s impossible because you can’t help but love his SO. She’s just one of those characters where you’re like “Dude. We need to be friends. Pronto.”
So, of course you feel like a guilty A-hole because, why on earth would you want Ridge to be with Sydney when he so clearly has found his soul mate?
As you read, you’ll run though all these scenarios. Like, maybe she’ll cheat on him so he’ll have just cause to dump her so he can be with Sydney. But you don’t really want that to happen because, well, you still love the gal. And you’re thinking, well, maybe Sydney will give up and find someone else to give her heart to, but that’s not good either, because you LOVE how well Sydney and Ridge mesh.
I… have no idea where this rambling mess is going…
Just –sigh– hold on tight and enjoy the ride.
It’s messy, it’s hilarious, it’s’ heartwarming, it’s raw… but most of all, it’s f**king perfect.
Enjoy.
