review 1: For those of you that know me... and those that don't this is my little statement about short books.... I do not judge short stories on the rush of their relationships, because they are just that - short stories. So, yes the relationships always could have been drawn out more, yea it seems like they fall in love to fast and of course the story could have been made longer... but it is a short story. So with that said.... here is my review... I was given this book for my honest thoughts... So let's go..I am becoming a serious fan of Ms. Kennedy. She is one talented writer. Her stories leave me wanting more, desiring more actually. She captures you from the first word till the last one. She creates a world of which one's fantasies can come out to play....And with this se... moreries... 1 Night Stand, it really has been a treat to watch the stories unfold. Madame Eve is one hell'va woman who knows just what a person (woman or man) needs... and desires! Ms. Kennedy has created a series that will sure to flip a switch and spank you silly! =)Now as the warning declares... This is a story of some BDSM... Spanking and flogging is not optional. If you are not a fan of those few things, you will not hurt my feelings by just saying Hi and wishing Ms. Stacey well. One day, you may be seeking to be spanked! But until that times come... Let me get on with this review!Which I also have to warn you that this will be a short one because this is a short book! Now what I love about this story though is that it is a story of fantasies coming true and old love finding its way back together. Taryn seeks the help of Madame Eve to find her a Dom for Christmas. Taryn wants to give her "ass" over to someone to do as they wish, but she has a list of certain requirements for Madame E. Can Madame E to fill her Christmas wish...Taryn was all set and ready to meet her Dom... She was sure he was the one. His voice sent shrives up and down her spine. His scent went straight to her... Well... You get the idea. He was what she desired... Who she wanted to please. And when the night was over... She was begging for more... But it wasn't until her Dom took off her blindfolds did she realize she had more than she bargained for. Taryn was finally going to find out if she truly was going to get all she wanted for Christmas.... Her Dom.This is a story that will leave you wanting to find your own Dom (or be your own Dom). It is short, but I enjoyed the whole story. To see Taryn get her wish come true is... Well.. delightfully naughty! I hope you enjoy the story as much as I did! It truly is a magical story! Spankings and all!
review 2: Taryn signs up with Madame Eve's 1Night Stand service for one night of 'no strings attached' pleasure, she hasn't had sex since her ex-boyfriend broke her heart and left her, so it's time to break her dry streak.Blake handpicked Taryn from Madame Eve's list, his reason much deeper than just being her Dom for the night, he's looking for something else, something he once had but was idiot enough to loose.Kennedy starts this novella with both guns blazing, and not being a regular BDSM reader ( in fact this is only my second book in the genre ) I was bit taken back, but it soon turned to a proper story with Blake having set the whole thing up to get a second chance. Which I loved! I like guys to be a little sneaky about getting what they want.Not much Christmas decorations in this, it's pretty much, snowy cabin and then they get it on. Very much to the point. ;)What I liked about this was the tension and emotions between Blake and Taryn when she figures out just what's been going on behind her back / blindfold. This story has a sweet undertone, with Blake willing to do anything to fix what was broken.If you don't mind some serious spanking and toys then you might like this. But like the warning says, if you're not into BDSM then this novella isn't for you. less
