review 1: This book was ok. The characters are likable and all.I think the timeline is kind of short, I mean that everything seems to happen at the same time : Jack and Emma could have started seeing each other a bit earlier. KIND OF A SPOILER IN THIS SENTENCE :It seems to be a reaction to the kiss on the cheek she gave to a date but really, it wasn't her first blind date, why would not act before ?/END OF THE POSSIBLE SPOILER Because it seems to be more than a coincidence that "the new lawyer" appears at the same time. Another thing that I did not get was that like Emma I wondered why Jack and the new lawyer would not trust her to keep quiet if they told her what was happening. It made no sense to keep her in the dark, after all that's the best way to have her try to get answers an... mored possibly ruin everything... and we learn what was happening I still wondered why they didn't tell her! There was no reason to not tell her "ok Emma, this is happening so this and that and don't tell anyone", but when she knows she doesn't seem to think any longer that she ought to have known before...But in the end, the storyline is good enough I guess.Ce livre était ok. On apprécie les personnages etc.Je pense que la durée de l'histoire est un peu courte, je veux dire que tout arrive au meme moment : Jack et Emma auraient pu commencer à se fréquenter plus tot.POSSIBLE SPOILER DANS CETTE PHRASE : Ca semble etre une réaction au bisou sur la joue qu'elle donne à un rendez-vous m'enfin c'était pas son premier rendez-vous à l'aveugle, pourquoi ne pas réagir plus tot ?/FIN DU POSSIBLE SPOILParce-que ça semble plus qu'une coincidence que "le nouvel avocat" débarque au meme moment.Un autre truc qui m'a troublé c'est que comme Emma je me demandais pourquoi JAck et le nouvel avocat ne lui faisaient pas confiance pour qu'elle ne révèle rien si ils lui disaient ce qu'il se passait. Ca n'avait aucun sens de la garder dans le noir, après tout c'est le meilleur moyen pour qu'elle se mette à chercher des réponses et possiblement tout gacher... et quand on apprend ce qu'il se passait, on sait toujours pas pourquoi ils lui ont rien dit. Y avait aucune raison de ne pas l'avertir genre "ok Emma, y a ça qui se passe donc voili voila et dis rien", mais quand elle apprend tout elle a pas l'air d'encore penser qu'elle avait le droit d'être au courant...Mais au final l'histoire est pas trop mal j'imagine.
review 2: Oh my word, this was such a good book.Jack was another hot alpha man-whore and Emma was his housekeeper! She started working for him when her ex left her when she found out she was pregnant (or that's what she thought)So Jack has been lusting after her for 5years, until Emma starts dating (surprise surprise) he did not appreciate that.So needless to say, he made his move and just so happens that Emma has been attracted to Jack for two years. So explosive get together and awesome storyline. Jack is such a sweetie with Emma's son Logan. And then baby-daddy comes back into the picture... Definitely a good story to read. Don't want to say too much, just that you have to go and read the book!Definitely liking this author!Enjoy! less
