review 1: What a hard story to write; what a beautiful story to write. You know something isn't quite right and it takes more than a few chapters and guesses to figure it out. Suddenly it clicks into a puzzle you really wished you didn't have to see; not for these characters. A beautifully tragic story of love and loss, reality and fantasy. A story I hated having to put down (to sleep ugh!) but then ultimately, as hard as it was to read; a story I didn't want to end.
review 2: Perhaps because as a librarian I read so many books, it takes something really amazing to blow me away. As it was, I did like this book. The switching back and forth between past and present and the point of view of the husband and wife made it interesting. My main problem was that the foreshadowin... moreg in the book was so heavy-handed that it made what was supposed to be the big reveal at the end pretty evident all the way through, at least to me. less
