review 1: "Emma's Secret" portrays a mother's paranoid behavior upon the return of her young daughter after a 2-year disappearance. Megan almost constantly lives in panic mode now that her 5-year old daughter has been returned to her and her family. Her daughters react to her panic in different ways. Adding to the stress is a secret her husband Peter seems to be holding. This isn't nearly as earth-shattering as the synopsis makes it out to be. It's about a quiet compassion one person has toward another. While the act of compassion wasn't done in the best of ways, one could certainly understand that person's heart and why the decision was made. Though tough, it was a good decision, a kind one. The secret her best friend has and the way Megan reacts to it, is rather d... moreopey.
review 2: Im glad the author decided to write a sequel. honestly this would be the worst thing that you could imagine happening - your child being kidnapped. however in these stories you really feel for the person that took her. I mean really a woman just randomly picks up a girl thinking she is her grandchild, yes it is strange that she would be walking alone at such a young age but she was never harmed. if ever this would happen to me, I would hope that it would be this way. I felt sorry for Jack. he really loved this little girl and was devastated when he found out the truth. I was hoping during the visits that something good would come of their relationship. as crazy as it sounds but you can't help feeling sorry for everyone involved. I really enjoyed the story and would recommend it to others :) less
