review 1: 3.5 starsWhen I started this book and realized it was after 'The Chaos' came (post apocalyptic) I was thrown for a loop. I got over that quickly and got right into the book though. I really enjoyed Caspar and his overall self. He goes through a lot in this story, overcoming his past and dealing with his demons. He has Tru to help him through everything. She's a strong woman that doesn't put up with anyone's shit. She has demons of her own to deal with. Together they make a stand to change Defiance and better the lives for their family and friends. I loved the other characters in this book and can't wait to jump deeper into their stories in the next books. *received an ARC for an honest review*
review 2: I am really into biker books right now and have not been t... moreoo picky about which ones I read. This one, however was just way too over the top for me. There was very little plot. I did not realize the characters were in their early 20's. They were just too young in for my reading taste. The writing was written for very young adults, even though the content was very adult. I did like the apocalyptic atmosphere. I do not think I will buy the second book. less
