review 1: Believe it or not, this was another book found and bought at my local "Dollar Tree". I could not put it down until I was finished. I do not understand how these $25.00 hardback Novels are getting threw under the bus and sold for LITERALLY $1.00 apiece. I'm not complaining (I like to save money just as much as the next person)...but this seems absurd. The cover of mine has a totally different picture. Makes me wonder if it was so-called "Boot-legged"? All in all, a darn good book, about a happy couple with great jobs, living the ideal life until tragedy comes calling. Will his wife live on because of the donation of her heart to another young woman, or will it cause havoc and disrupt everyone involved?
review 2: This book was good and it certainly made m
... moree think. I pondered how I would feel if I were in Alex's place. He was in such a place of negativity, for obvious reasons, and it's a place I would hope not to be should I be in the same position. Though difficult, I truly believe that I would embrance the recipient and family if given the chance. I found it sad that Bernice didn't seem to be getting on with her life as much as Alex by the end of the book. Perhaps if Isabel & Alex had been able to have children, Alex and Bernice would have been able to cope with her death easier....the kids would have given them something else to focus on besides the loss. less
