review 1: As I read this book I kept thinking that the two protagonists' separate experiences of the same event might intersect; however, they remained connected only by experiencing the same event. Guess that is what happens when you bring expectations from previous reading to the text. While I did not like the ending (won't say why or it will spoil your read), I did enjoy the book overall and recommend it to young science fiction fans.
review 2: I loved the book! I couldn't put it away. But I was so disappointed at the end. At no point is anything explained or discovered about the aliens. I was waiting until the end to discover what it was all about, but it was never told in the book. I found it disappointing that the aliens were descended to nothing more than 'zappin... moreg' and hanging around. It made me think that the author didn't know an ending for the story and didn't fully thought them through. I was so disappointed at the end! less
