review 1: Overall, a nice retelling of the Robin Hood legend so far. Nicely paced, not too soft about the robbery and outlaw part of the plot, with enough variation on details to keep the plot riveting despite the well-known source. Major complaint: out of time expressions galore, oftentimes dragging the attentive reader out of the story. Example: "testosterone-filled". Sorry, but hormones and their relevance to behavior were discovered in the 20th century and for sure not known in 14th century England!
review 2: Wolf's Head is a very fast paced, well descriptive and completely addictive book to read. The description of people, places and animals are very detailed all the way through. Action is non stop all the way through the entire book. After reading (and watching) num
... moreerous versions of Robin Hood I was expecting very similarities in this book. I have to confess it is completely different. Ok, you get same characters eg. Robin Hood, Little John and Friar Tuck but different characters make it a total new read. Chapter after chapter and you become more addicted to the story due to the tension that seems to just "appear" to you whilst reading. I read it in just one day, I could not put it down! Thanks Steven A McKay. Can't wait for the next one to come through my letterbox. less

A nice, simple book without really any plot twist. A pleasant book, but not a memorable one.

A freebie kindle book. It was pretty amusing to read travelling to and from work.
