review 1: Steven Pressfield writes books that are simple, accessible, but deep. He does his homework and conveys ideas cleary with brevity. This work straightforwardly navigates the murky waters of war, responsibility, strength, purpose, etc.....concepts that are easy to dance around. If you read it, you will repeatedly find yourself having to stop reading, place the book down, and go, "Hmm......." before going onward. The signal-to-noise ratio in his writing is better than most other authors out there by far.
