review 1: Wow! This book was so far from what I expected it completely blew me off my feet.I feel as though I can't divulge too much of the book without giving key pieces of the plot away. The beginning of the book was slow for me. Slow enough to make me reconsider the purchase, but I trudged on and am thankful I did. Korina is a gifted photographer working at a local store in the photo lab. She scores herself a photo press pass to the Slanker Knox concert, a band she has adored for years. After the show, she meets with the lead singer, JT Blackwood, and he offers her a dream job of photographing their band and updating their website for their fans. From there, the story takes off.Stevie Kisner did an outstanding job when writing this book. The characters had such depth, and ... morethe plot line unfolded in such a unique way I had a hard time putting the book down. This book pushed and pulled all kinds of emotions from me. I fell is love with all the characters. Dream Me Off My Feet is not your typical contemporary romance. Its in a category all of its own, in a good way.I highly recommend this book. As I said before, it is slow at the beginning, but it is well worth the wait in the end. review 2: I didn't finish this book - I gave it 2 stars because I was really enjoying the beginning of the book - I loved this concept and was anxious to read more ... until she cheated.... I don't know what to do.... I'm reading this book for a blog tour - I was really enjoying the book, up until she cheated on her husband.... If he was a jerk, yeah I would have been a little more ok with it. If she was divorced, or even separated, I would have enjoyed the whole book. But her husband was supportive, caring and really seemed to love his wife. And She really seemed to love him. Their last weekend together in Arizona before she heads in one direction for the tour, and her husband heads home with their 11 year old son, they have a sex-fest in the hotel room (their son was at grandma's house :) ) And through the paper thin walls, JT hears it. and instead of ignoring it, he starts to fantasize - and his thoughts go straight into Kori's head. She can't control his thoughts, or how they get into her head, And she can feel it taking over her own body. She is still with her husband's body but having the first threesome with only the two of them? A Manage Mind-fuck is what she called it. And totally loved it! JT feels guilty that he's feeling these things for her. He's lonely and tired of being alone. He doesn't know what to do. He can't sleep, and it's eating him alive. After Kori's husband and son get on the plane to go back home, she gets on a plane and heads to Salt Lake City with the band...At first I couldn't figure out if she was really cheating on her husband or what. Her physic ability has her trapped in JT's thoughts, his feelings, his Lust - and for the most part in the beginning it's really going smoothly and I'm really enjoying this book - And then she goes on tour with the band.... JT can't - or wont control his thoughts or feelings, she gets pulled in again, this time things go farther - she knows she should stop him, but she can't... or wont. Then when she wakes up, she knows it's too late? She knows she can't change things, so what the hell, let's give JT his one night with her, and then everything will go back to normal and she can stay on the tour and never let herself be alone with JT again and be faithful to her husband and he'll never know... ??? And that right there.. that just doesn't work for me... Just totally blew the whole story. I was really enjoying it, too - But I just can't finish this - I totally want to slap her every-time I read about her thoughts.. and now the whole thing with JT's feelings sound bogus - she's not fighting him.. and she's not going to either.. So what am I supposed to do?? Should I keep reading?? Maybe her husband turns out to be a jerk after all?? But I can't see that happening. I totally love the whole "We were meant to be together" Or "The Fates brought us together" Or in this case - the Ties of the Universe brought them together through her dreams , that's fine, Cool even, But she's married. and in her Fan Fiction stories, He's married - and yet ..... grrrrr All I can think about that might turn this book around is throwing in a threesome with JT and her Husband?? I don't know.... Decisions Decisions. I've been reading all day, and I'm only at like 25% - this book is long - but if she cheats on him again, I'm done with it ... That's my decision - I'll let you know how it goes... I read on a little farther, and she said although she knows she shouldn't, she just can't bring herself to feel guilty about cheating on him.... Then he feeds her chocolate covered strawberries - and now I'm done.... This book has so much potential, and I bet it just gets better and better - but I just can't seem to stop hating her for her thoughts, or JT for thinking it's ok as well ... So sorry :( less
