Tri-Omega Mates
review 1: Main Characters:Leyland Summers - Photographer who is also a Tri-Omega Jake - Pack Alpha Lucas - Pack BetaSynopsis:Leyland has been hired to go to a ranch for a photoshoot. Little does he know that pack alpha Jake arranged the job because he recognized that Leyland was his true mate. Lucas and Jake have had a long standing relationship and before Jake can end it, Lucas realizes that he also is Leyland's mate. Leyland to help Jake and Lucas understand that he needs to be mated to both men to survive as a Tri-Omega. The plot revolves around the men learning how to deal with each other and become a mated trio.My Thoughts:Sometimes I just want to read a silly, light hearted story and this one fit the bill.
review 2: The book starts out with a very hot meeting b
... moreetween Jake and Leyland. I'm used to insta-sex between shifters but I loved the added touch of what Leyland was thinking. He loved being dominated (rawr).Jake is a gay wolf shifter. He is the Alpha is his pack of outcasts. They are also all gay and unmated. Lucas is the beta. Jake's right hand and lover for nearly 10 years. When Jake meets Leyland, Leyland of course knows he is Jake's mate. He knows that Lucas is also his mate. Leyland wonders if his needing to mate with both, Jake and Lucas, with tear them all apart. The dynamics of this shifter story varies somewhat because it is menage. I love how there is always a bit of tension to be worked on. The D/s element just made me gaga for each scene where they were having sex, or thinking about each other. Smelling each other. Wanting each other. You get the idea. I liked the pace of the story and because Leyland is omega and can sense feelings. Each element made the story move fluidly. He already knew about being a shifter. That whole 'what are you guys' part doesn't need to be added. The one scene I felt brought the mating bond  together, was when they needed to help Leyland. The love from the claiming beforehand was still building. I quite enjoyed this debut and I will definitely be continuing the series.  less

This book is so damn wrong, for starters Jake wasn't an alpha at all, just a childish bastard with an inferiority complex, Lucas was more balanced but he wasn't an alpha either like the author wants us to believe, he was more submissive in some ways than Leyland, Leyland in the other way had the leader qualities Jake lacks, Jake is always like you have to obey me because I'm the leader and i say so, instead of telling us is for the welfare of the pack, while Leyland can actually make them understand and guide them through, part of reading about an alpha is that you don't have to be constantly reminded that he is one, you just get into it because of the way he acts & speaks. And the conversation with Leylands parents while he was dying is surreal "our sons dying but w/e oh let me put you with me wife to see what's wrong, by the way, you have a lovely ranch!", that kind of weird, I'm not even going to speak about the grounded thing as other reviewers already had, and explain it well.I was expecting for Lucas to fuck Jake too, having told both men were strong and macho and alpha and all, it doesn't happen, and just for the record, being pure top doesn't make you more alpha, as being versatile doesn't make you a less one.

Better than I thought it would be, I rather enjoyed the surprise and interplay of the "tri" part of tri-omega. The "plot" centered on the extra requirements needed by a rather special and (almost) unique omega. As common in this genre, the relationships progressed extremely quickly, the mate bond turning into almost automatic, seemingly deep-seated love. However, the interplay of the alpha, best friend beta, and newly found omega mate kept my interest, in part due to the heat generated by sometimes conflicting and overlapping desires.

This one was to much for me. I just couldn't stand the characters.
