review 1: The Last Battle of the Icemark by Stuart Hill was a marvelous book. Despite this being the end of the series, which in most cases would bring a tedious plot without much action, Stuart Hill was able to keep up the tension and action like in the other books. At times, my heart would skip a beat at sudden points where something unexpected happened. Other times, my stomach would churn in parts that looked like something terrible would occur. For example, "After they had gone, the darkness and silence pooled in the large tent, and then, in the gloom of the deepest shadows, a pair of red, bloodshot eyes slowly opened and narrowed as they assessed the situation. Both Snow Leopards were obviously still unconscious, and there was no sign of guards or attendants of any sort. The co... moreast was well and truly clear,"(Hill, 435) This was a mysterious atmosphere that was going on, and was also one of the same paragraphs that kept me on my toes throughout the whole book. Without these descriptive and suspenseful parts, I would never have read the whole book because most people don't read books that seem to be lagging. Furthermore, this book was a great conclusion to the Icemark Chronicles. Therefore, The Last Battle of the Icemark was an exciting book to read and I recommend the series to anyone who is looking for a suitable book to read, or those who like fantasy, magic, action, and war.
review 2: Once again, Stuart Hill made a story I will want to read over and over. I was a tad startled by the tone of some of my favorite characters who suddenly talked in a more 'slang' manner than before and I was thankful for the revival of certain characters who may have been dead. (spoiler?) I almost came to tears a couple of times when things happened that were just perfectly perfect. I am very much looking forward to reading more of Hill's works. less

Continues the battle from the last one. Completes the series well. They should be films.

I would have done well to brush up on the other two before starting this one.
