review 1: This novel talks about impact of money and success on human relationship. The story revolves around a girl Srimati who sacrifices her desires for her husband to climb the corporate ladder..The husband does become successful but he treats everything to be an object including his better half.. How Shrimati coped with the situation and how she left her golden cage to fly is what the story is all about. And for all who does not know what bakula is, it is a name of a flower with beautiful fragrance which remains intact for long. The Bakula here represents the fragrance of love between Srimati and her husband which faded with time and circumstances.

This book is one of them..Its a beautiful stor... morey about Shrimati who sacrifices everything goes out of the way for her love, her husband only to realize that she has lost herself..her interests her identity in this process...The character of Shrimati is really touching... the book is written in a very simple manner and you wont realize when you will get lost in the book..A must read for all women.. less
