review 1: There comes a time when the foundations of trust and faith crumble and one of the two in a relationship is bound to leave, having left with no other option. The long-preserved patience gets exhausted, a great chasm takes place of love when the latter takes a back seat gradually through the years that pass by, and it seems thence there is no turning back. Idealism vs. so-called practicality, male-chauvinism vs. a more objective co-existance of man and woman together; principles vs. corruption: Sudha Murthy has touched upon some very sensitive issues with a unique objectivity without compromising on the picturization of their details. Something only an amazing writer can do. I never not forget this very touching book.
review 2: This Sudha Murthy book is al about
... morefamily and the importance of ones identity specifically a woman... It portrays how a woman sacrifices so many things for her family however doesn't receive equal importance frm her family... It depicts how strength frm a mother/wife/daughter can help the family to flourish though respect/affection is nt given back to her... And finally... It teaches that every woman should be independent and treated equally neither inferior nor superior... Her identity shud not be diluted and she shud be able to pursue what she likes...no ego no hassles....Dats d key to a healthy and peaceful relation less
