review 1: 2.5 StarsToo much sex. I can hear the gasps. That's right, I said it. Too. Much. Sex. Not enough story. I got bored! How crazy is that?!? I felt like I fell into some sort of cosmic bunny hole. How could I get bored with hot man-on-man cowboy action? But did I ever.I had high hopes for this story for a number of reasons. Did I mention hot man-on-man cowboy action? Well, I was also excited because this story started with an established couple. I dig that. Unfortunately, things just didn't pan out. The characters were sorta likeable but there simply wasn't enough story stuff and there was way too much sex stuff. It pains me to say this! But ... well, you get the drift.Bottom line: When I'm not running out to buy book 2, there's a problem.
review 2: Hmmm. Love y... moreummy cowboys but while these guys were sweet, I had some trouble with the writing. There were words and phrases that were repeated constantly. It was "his man this and his man that." Ok already, I get it!! Don't need to hit me over the head with whose man is whose. And something about daddy being sick was said several times, a couple of times, almost verbatim. And finally, for me, I have to have distinct voices in my characters and I couldn't always tell whether it was Luke or Simon speaking. The lovin was off the charts good, though. But I wondered, damn, when is any ranchin gonna get done when you two can't keep your hands to yourselves. I will attempt Morning Report #2 in the hopes that I enjoy that one more.... less
