review 1: I debated back and forth with myself whether to give this 2 stars or 3 stars. So I guess my rating is 2 and half stars. It might change after I've had more time to process.This book was really good and I loved both main characters .. then why the low rating you ask? Because of the scene! *spoilers ahead* Oliver is a natural born submissive just what Robert loves. And I'm always up for a little BDSM, however, not like this. There is a scene in the book where Robert collars and leashes Oliver then proceeds to give him orders like a dog ... "heel" and "roll over". And he obeys. I kid you not. It ruined the rest of the book for me because anytime they thought of or spoke of a leash this is where my mind went. I thought this ridiculous and completely unnecessary.If t... morehat scene was deleted or edited I would change my rating.
review 2: The was a pleasant surprise. The story was much more entertaining than the rather lukewarm description. The dialogue is quite good and I liked the characters. The mystery was just 'ok'. The chemistry between the two main characters was surprisingly sensual and I thought it was well drawn. Kinky but nothing too intense. It can't be called BDSM light because there's a good bit of that here, but the characters (and the authors) don't take it too seriously. less
