review 1: Wow. A geeky craft book with crafts my daughter and I can both love?!? How awesome! They may not be designed for the specific geeks we have (and I wish I knew a baby I could make that little Nimbus for!) but the ideas are solid and we can easily convert them. I'm thinking a Tardis iPod cover mig be my first project, although the original periodic table/elements design is fun. Who wouldn't want a little molybdenum protecting their tech gadgets, right?
review 2: This book has some interesting ideas in it, but nothing I was really interested in making. I liked the mosaic tool-box, but it's not something I need, so that one is struck off the list. I like the idea of the morse code quilt, but that's a whole lot of effort with a so-so result - I could see myself more
... more likely to translate the idea into cross-stitch or embroidery. My two favourite projects were the planet plates and the solar system mobile, but I'd be unlikely to make use of either. The rest? Eh. less
