review 1: When I read the book jacket, I thought Meg would become public enemy in Wynette, and meet one of the residents (not Lucy's fiancee) who she falls for. I guess I missed that they were one and the same. Still, I have previously read SEP's "Chicago Stars" series, so I picked up this one. After a bit, I realized it was a series as well. So I'll just say, as an independant book, I liked the story. I think I would have liked it a bit better, if in the beginning, after Lucy jilts Teddy at the alter, we got to read some, about what Lucy did, once she took off from Wynette. I always like when the Heroine is an independant woman, and Meg sort of fit that. She was a flake, but she did have pride. And once she made all the residents mad, she didn't let that Cow her. At first I didn't ... moreknow what to make of Ted. I really thought he was going to make her stay 'hell' when he stopped her from skipping out of the inn. I think Phillips didn't articulate this story from both character's points of view. Only from Megs. Which is ok, but I think the previous stories were a bit of both. I think I have gotten used to getting some of the man's side in the stories. Over all there were some really good laughs in this one, it took a while for it to come out, about how Meg would get stared at when she wore the clothes she got from Kayla's consignment store. And we don't get too much back story, about Tori & Ted, and why they were good friends, but not romantic. Also, why couldn't Meg articulate what Ted was missing when they were in the sack? Over all it was still enjoyable.

I like this novel; it was similar to Dallie and Francesca's story but with a few twists and turns.
