review 1: By the end of book 2 of this series I had the Signal Bend books down as my favourite MC series. However, after reading this book, I may need to rescind that statement....I definitely think I read a different book to all those who rated it 4 or 5 stars.Gosh where to start.... Riley was just... a precious princess throwing temper tantrums (the foot stomp! how old??!!!). Bart was.. okay... but together this couple were not interesting. I was more interested in Isaac and Lilli to be honest. The storyline didn't make sense to me - I didn't see the reasoning behind Bart's move and it just felt like plot device to physically move him nearer to Riley. The first two books took me 24 hours each to read, this book took me four days... four long, arduous days. And finally, spoilt Ho... morellywood actresses.......... just no.*sigh*I'm hoping the next novella will instill my passion back into this MC.
review 2: 3 3/4 stars. Parts of this book seemed so climactic, and then just kind of fell. So it wanted to be big and great and almost did and then like everything peetered out. I liked Riley and I liked Bart. I liked them together. I think things moved way too fast, but that's not uncommon in books I guess. I hate that Bart had to make the choice he did for his club. I think in the end for him romantically it worked out best for him, but it just seems all wrong and against the point of becoming loyal to one MC. less
