review 1: Susan Fox has written an intelligent book in Home on The Range. She makes you believe from page one that she knows what she's talking about when it comes to horses, horse people, and non[-horse people. Her made-up town of Caribou Crossing and the Crazy Horse Ranch (spa) is somewhere you'll want to go on your next vacation.Evan Kincaid is a non-horse person who left Caribou Crossing as soon as he grew into his feet. He wanted no part of living in a "hick" town...even though leaving meant he had to leave someone he cared deeply for behind. Even though that someone had a cookie in the cookie jar (unbeknownst to him, due to an oops moment with a condom gone bad).Jessica Bly was the woman with the cookie in the jar. But she happened to love Hicksville, so when she discovered sh... moree was with cookie, she kept it to herself. Evan never expressed any desire to have kids... or cookies.Fast forward fifteen years and Evan has built himself a successful life in New York. But when he's thrown back into the world he thought he'd left forever, life in the city doesn't seem so perfect anymore. Seems Jessica still owns a piece of his heart.Long story short, Home on The Range is a pleasant read. The characters are fun, the story real, albeit a bit sappy, but for me, it's the town of Caribou Crossing and the Crazy Horse Ranch (spa) that make this book. Thanks, Susan, now I want to own horses again.
review 2: Susan Fox is a classic! Her writing is great! She has the ability to keep you interested. Home on the range is her first novel in the Caribou Crossing Series. Two people meet fall in live as friends and then are separated and love try's to find them again. They are two country kids, one wants to become big and successful and one wants to have a horse resort. They meet later in life and realize the love is there. A great story to read. Susan fox is a great author! You won't be disappointed if you get one of her books. less
