review 1: Different from all the supernatural stuff I've been reading lately, but it didn't disappoint. Nav is this really hot Indian guy who has been crushing on his best friend Kat. She refuses to see him as mate potential because he has fallen in the "buddy trap". So to win her, he agrees to go with her as her date to her sisters wedding and comes up with sexy "strangers on a train" fantasy! Soooo freaking hot!
review 2: Kat Fallon's had terrible taste/luck in men, but she's thankful for her best friend and neighbor, Nav Bharani. He agrees to stand in as her date for her little sister's wedding, coming up in just two weeks.Nav's been head-over-heels for Kat pretty much since he moved in two years ago, and he's sick of being seen as the sexless best-friend... He sees... more this wedding date as a chance to have Kat see him in a different light. He takes advantage of her train trip to Vancouver to show up on as a sexy stranger. In this familiar but not guise, Kat is able to reveal more of herself and her true desires because she's able to separate her best friend from this sexy man she desires.The chapters alternate between Kat's perspective (told in first person) and Nav's (told in third). I'm not crazy about that, especially since I found Kat to be slightly annoying. While I understand her unwillingness to lose her best friend or to ruin that friendship, it took too long in my mind for her to get to the point where she admitted/recognized that Nav and these strangers were together the man of her dreams. Nav was quite the perfect hero, to that end.Some interesting possibilities with the interracial romance, but those weren't developed too deeply because of the plot of the story.I probably would have given it 2 1/2 stars. less
