review 1: I met the author of this trilogy and even got this exact book signed by her. I was honestly pretty excited to read it. I ended up reading the book within three days. Not because I loved it, but because I literally had nothing to do and that was my last resort. I didn't love this book, but I also didn't hate it. It was what I would call a "meh" book. It had some really good parts where I couldn't put it down, but most of the book was just mush to me. The writing of the story was good, but some scenarios were just plain unnecessary. Too much was going on for me to actually process it and enjoy it. I even didn't want to read the other 2 books in the trilogy. This was just my opinion, so don't let this make you reluctant to read the book! :D
review 2: Very cool con... morecept for a book. I really enjoyed the world set up and new take on mind reading.I will admit that I felt bored at times and the story kind of dragged on, but overall I enjoyed it. While I found the plot interesting, I was pretty apathetic toward all of the characters. They all seemed pretty two dimensional. And I hated the little love triangle that so many YA books adapt. Yet the writing was well done with some good descriptions. Overall it was good. less
