review 1: A short Mallery Fool's Gold addition. She is an incredibly steady writer almost always hitting the same notes enough to keep people involved but not so much as to be repetitively boring.Paige is happy to take in Alistair, British surgeon, when he is sick. No questions, he's a friend if a friend who needs help so she helps.Alistair has been burned by love, well, marriage, and doesn't want to do that again so he's sure what he feels is just gratefulness.Like most Mallery novellas, they don't feel as short because we generally have a lot (a LOT) of the characters' back stories from other books.
review 2: Short novella only 7 chapters and i read this in less than 30 mins. While short it did have enough story to keep me interestrd.. Loved both paige and alistair.. W... moreished this was a full novel instead of the hendrix sisters. But as with the other novellas, their love declaration was too quick but at least alistair didnt propose marriage after only meeting for a couple of weeks. Still super quick read if ure waiting in line. less
