review 1: Really odd story but I really enjoyed the color and life that the author brought to the 3 voices in this novel. Being from the south, I understood the world and could pick out parts that I have heard/seen/experienced and that was fun. I did find the full story was hard to follow and really not that entertaining. It was more like reading little stories that had some connection but that weren't really drawn together completely.
review 2: I wasn't the biggest fan of this book. As a native Atlantan, I thought it unnecessarily segregated the many cultures in our city based first on race and then much later in the book offerred one paragraph that suggested maybe the city was separated by income, which is much more accurate. I was disappointed that someone in any ot... moreher part of the country or world could have such a skewed view of Atlanta based on the author's opinion. I did have an opportunity to meet the author, however, and I found her to be lovely. less
