review 1: A quick horror-filled read, also filled with some amazing authors. Each story is only 1-2 pages long, and great fun to read aloud to frighten the children! I read this on Halloween, sharing a few stories with my brother, and even, despite the brevity of them, getting a few chills down my spine. Reading them at midnight...maybe not for the faint of heart!The collection has flash fiction, poetry, and comic sections, a bit of everything, all adding up to a wonderfully spooky and fun collection. This would be great for camping trips or fireside stories, on Halloween or any other dark foggy night.
review 2: In Kürze:+ Sammlung kurzer Horrorgeschichten+ gruselig+ lustig+ spannend Meinung:Diese Sammlung kurzer Schauergeschichten ist eine wunderbares kleines Buch.... more Auch wenn meine Fantasie das ein oder andere mal mit mir durchgegangen ist und ich einige Geschichte sehr gruselig fand, sind sie einfach nur unterhaltsam. Ob in Form eines Comics, nicht länger als 3 Sätze oder aber über 2 Seiten lang sind, ist es eine großartige Unterhaltung für alle Altersklassen. Nun ja, vielleicht nicht für alle Altersklassen. Wenn wirklich noch klein ist und sich vor den Monstern unterm Bett und im Schrank fürchtet, sollte diese Buch vielleicht nicht lesen. Da die eigene Fantasie da er angetrieben wird, als beruhigt und unterdrückt. Aber ansonsten eine ganz tolle Sammlung und Unterhaltung.Fazit: Ein sehr schönes Buch, dass ebenso gruselig wie lustig ist. Ein Muss für alle kleinen und großen Horror- und Gruselfans.In English:This is a collection of short horror stories written by many famous authors, such as Neil Gaiman, Joyce Carol Oats, Libba Bray, Holly Black etc. I am not sure if the anthology was adapted into German as a whole or if the anthology was compiled in Germany. I haven't found a fitting English version on Amazon. Should it already be available in English I recommend this book to all Horror fans. It is a great in between read and I was actually quite scared. At the same time there are just laugh out loud funny stories collected as well. Do pick it up if you see it and you are not scared of monsters under the bed anymore. If you are, than maybe not. less
