review 1: I actually liked this book however I knew that something wasn't right with the illness from the beginning and once I found out a certain fact I knew who would be the one who was doing this. All in all it's a nice book a sort of warring families (a la Romeo & Juliet style) but with a different look. I actually enjoyed Kerrick and Catherine more and can't wait to see Kerrick's book. Not to mention I absolutely loved the Grandmother and at least it broke the cliche of having a disapproving mother/grandmother when the Marquess chooses a normal woman to be the Marchioness and mother of the heir. All in all, I would give it a second read and I can't wait for the next book.
review 2: This book has everything I love in a Historical Romance. A non-simpering woman, s
... moreomeone strong, and level headed. A hunky lord, fully taken to his knees by his emotions. Mystery and drama, and an intricate plot. I appreciate the twist. The problem is, it was transparent. Quite early in the book you can see what's going to happen. I feel the author could have put some more thought into making the story line deeper, less see through. But, that's not to say I didn't enjoy the book. It was a great read, and I really liked it. If you want a fun little Historical, pick this up. I look forward to the next in this series. less

Some very "duh!" moments. Heroine likable (strong). Hero is wishy-washy.
