review 1: This was actually better than I thought it would be - I was hesitant because it included Lillith, and I'm sick of Lillith. I found her hatred of Jade plausible the first few times, but it just doesn't wash any more. That being said, this was still a good read. I don't really buy that Jade wouldn't have been more skeptical about the proof against Dymant, but I enjoyed this and will continue with the series if it goes on - assuming that Ms. Arruda doesn't resurrect Lillith.
review 2: This was an entertaining read, as are all the books in this series. Jade del Cameron, a American who served as an ambulance driver in WWI, now lives in Africa in the Nairobi colony. As the story opens, she is pining for her boyfriend who has gone to America to sell his movie about Af
... morerica to the American audience. Sam told Jade he would return in four months; it has now been five and Jade is worried. Several mysterious deaths occur and Jade begins to suspect her old enemy, Lilith Worthy, has escaped from prison in England. It soon becomes clear someone is out to kill Jade and all her friends. The ending of this book had an air of finality about it; several storylines are wrapped up, so I suspect this many be the last entry. If you are interested in reading about Africa as it became developed, this is a very good series to read. less
