review 1: There are two worries I have about this series, which I like very much--as I felt about the last book as well--there is a danger in having a heroine who is brave becoming too addicted to that part of herself to the exclusion of things like reason and thinking things out, which she is very capable of doing and if the series went in that direction, it would be consistent with the character aging and learning from her mistakes in the past. So far that has not happened with this character, but she does start to show a glimmer of understanding that there might be a downside to all this bravery in that her love life may be taking a hit or two as a result. And the man she discovers she loves is not about to worry endlessly about her, but doesn't want her to give it all up for h... moreim either.
review 2: When Harry Hascombe asks Jade to assist him with a crew that is filming a movie on Mount Kilimanjaro, you know dead bodies are not going to be far behind! Sure enough, before filming even starts, the producer is murdered by a native. While the mystery in this book is better than the previous one, the real drama surrounds Harry, Jade and Sam. The end was emotional and had me scrambling to get the next book in the series. less
