review 1: Generally I enjoyed this story, but I got a little bored in the middle. I was very happy for Decker to finally find someone. Not who I expected, but I think it makes sense now why he avoided Sophia for the most part. I never would have expected Tracey, but they did seem to fit. I also get why many others were dumbfounded at how Tracey was portrayed in this one. I get that she was a complete ditz when we met her, but it's been several years since then and I think that probably being on her own and relying on herself probably made her grow up pretty quick. I also think that having Lindsay and Tess as good friends might have somehow made her aspire to be better. She really did step up in this one. I didn't find it all that far-fetched. Anyway... on to the next... more one.
review 2: This whole book was great, but what makes it a five-star read for me was the sizzling- and funny- interaction between Decker and Tracy. I would have never thought of them as a couple, but Brockmann sold me on them and they are now one of my favorites of hers. I especially liked Tracy's matter-of-fact approach to sexual kinks and quirks - "normal is a very broad range." It was pretty daring of Brockmann to have one of her Navy SEALs enjoy even the tiniest bit of being ordered around by a woman (even though in real life, plenty of tough guys like that) and I thought it was exceptionally believable and hot. And did not make Decker any less manly. less

Didn't see that pair happening at all, but Brockmann really made it work. Great story.

I usually enjoy SB; but this book is just a dizzy mess.
