review 1: Romantic comedy that could have finished in one book. Instead, the author has written two books and hopefully that second one has the complete ending! I was not "in love" with this book; the beginning is great, I can hear the girl's voice in my mind - up to a certain point. That point being: her love interest is a lawyer and he talks about his partner, Bridget. For some people, like myself and my husband, we immediately thought it was a law office/business partnership. For Maggie, the girl whose diary we are reading: she immediately thought it was a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship - the comedic aspect, I guess. Sadly, I was too aggravated by her assumption when love interest says partner in connection with a law firm she thinks boyfriend/girlfriend to be amused. S... morehe calls herself an idiot in chapter 23 (book has 24 chapters) and I cannot disagree with her.
review 2: I was instantly drawn to this book because of the title. I AM a hopeless romantic so of course I'm going to read a book because I already feel a kind of kinship with the main character. I wasn't disappointed and was totally charmed by every part of it. It was sappy in a totally adorable and realistic way. I related to how the main character views herself, the world and her romantic interests. I remember falling in love with the hopeless romantic and can't wait to sink my teeth into the next book. less

This was a cute and funny read. No sex at all though. Can't wait for the second book to be released.

It was a cute story but very predictable and obvious.
