Friday Night Chills

It’s cold, it’s dark and I have no plans at all, so what better to do than eat pizza, drink
beer and curl up with my mini snow leopards! I have two snow bengal kittens who are
such a handful the majority of the time, but I love when they’re in their chill out moods and come for a cuddle whilst I delve into a book. They’re the cutest!

I’ve gotten into a bit of a routine lately of tackling two books at the same time; reading one and listening to the other. I have a 100 mile round trip commute for work so audiobooks are perfect for in the car. Reading an actual book has always been what I love so whilst we go through a miserable UK winter, staying warm inside with a good read is heavenly to me.

Keeping in line with that routine, I have two books on the go at the moment. Both of which are books being read by the Goodreads reading group that I am apart of.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

This is the BOTM for my Goodreads group and I’m reading this one at the moment. As in with my eyes, not my ears. I’m only about 10% of the way through, however thoroughly enjoying it. Eleanor is hilarious!! Hopefully the funny one liners and hysterical situations she gets into continue. I’ll be writing a review as soon as I’m done.

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

You guessed correctly, I’m listening (with my ears) to this one which is the side read of the month. For the first couple of hours of listening I struggled, but I can’t blame the book for that, I think it was my concentration levels. The story seems to be kicking in now though and I’m in deep, so it’s looking up. Review for this one will come early next week.

If anyone else has read these and wants to share any thoughts (minus any spoilers) drop a comment on this post, I love to hear other peoples views on what I’m reading.

I’m going back in for kitten cuddles and Miss Oliphant
