review 1: This series had so much potential to go on to at least 15 books. Everything was rushed and then there are some parts which aren't even clear. Who are the hunters and how are they chosen? If the big evil is only being held temporarily how will everyone deal with everyday possibly being their last? Who are the other children? Just because they stopped the people (creatures?) who wanted power doesn't mean it's over. So. Much. Potential.
review 2: I love this series. Action, mystery, supernatural suspense. Everything about this series was fun. I had trouble believing that Chmakova could wrap up the story that was hinted at in book 3 with just one more book, but I put the book down feeling very satisfied, even with an ending that hints at much more to come. I knocke
... mored off one star because I wanted so much to learn more about the world and the backstory was just not there in this volume. While the Sohrem are defeated (for now), I felt like I didn't really understand what had happened to them in the. Also, I wanted to know more about the Night Lords and that backstory was also missing. The bonus material at the end states that there are more books to come, but I don't see any sort of release information for the future. This is sort of frustrating to me because this volume was released 2 years ago, so I feel like there should be SOMETHING to indicate when more will be published, if more ever is. less
