review 1: This book was the worst of the three. Apparently this was not supposed to be a trilogy, which makes sense because it was choppy. Ok so the reason I gave this book a 2 star rating is that I guess I'm just sick and tired of reading books where the characters 1) have sex for 50% of the book,2) they have to keep reassuring the other half that they love them; 3) they don't want children right away and suddenly the girl gets pregnant and is really unhappy about it; 4) the main guy character is so protective that even if a friend is talking to his woman, he is insanely jealous; 5) the main girl character is do shy and timid that she "flushes" every time she gets shy or embarrassed; 6) the Man whore situation where the girlfriend keeps running into old flames. All these things h... moreappen in this book, and by the end of it, I was rolling my eyes and getting frustrated. The only reason this book got 2 stars instead of 0 is that the characters that deserved to get their karma actually received justice.
review 2: Wow!!! Just wow!!! The most beautiful love story I've read in a while. I thought Julia was a very special woman, to love unconditionally and not have a mean bone in her body, even when surrounded by people that constantly wanted to hurt her she still fought back with dignity and compassion. There were many a time that Gabriel infuriated me when he tried to hide things from Julia, when he shut her out of important moments and feelings that he was going through that he wouldn't speak of with Julia and instead bottled it up and tried to deal with it himself, it broke my heart but yet Julia was such a special soul that was willing to wait for Gabriel to come to her in his own time. I'm sure I wouldn't have probably have been quite so understanding. This story certainly showed that karma does exist and it can come back and bite you, which is what Julia and Gabriel's enemies found out. I could read about these two forever and would love to read so much more of their life's adventures. Brilliant writing style from Sylvain Reynard!!! less
