review 1: Great story, great characters and GREAT passion!!!! Brian and Layla come back together like its been 5 months not 5 years. They know each other inside and out and they take advantage of this unexpected reunion. I am a girl who likes to know the future. That being said, I almost feel like their story is not over. I know the ending pretty much says it all but I like the details. Knowing where they end up, kids, jobs, etc is what I love. This was however a very fulfilling story.
review 2: There were good things in this book, like the development of the relationship and the realizations of why things went so wrong for them when they first got together. I liked that they had real issues that prevented them from being happy together and that they manage to ove... morercome those issues through communication and some hard realizations. Still there were some unexpected things in here that I feel may not be everyone's cup of tea so here are some warnings (or incentives?).- Brian and Layla are okay with being ugly with each other (which speaks of a comfortable relationship but may turn some people off).- There is an age difference of 6 years and they started feeling lust for each other when she was 16 and he was 22, but they don't consummate until she's 18.- Lots of anal play (for both) and oral sex.- Explicit sexual language.The ending was predictable, but honestly how else was it supposed to end? All in all this surprised me, but it wasn't a bad read. Good job Sylvia Day for trying to change things up. less
