review 1: A little repetitive in discussing looming plot progression(s) but I really enjoyed this book! It was an intelligent light/fun read. I appreciated seeing Victorian Patriarchal society turned on its head thanks to the "great affliction." I also appreciated that while the ending fell into place a bit predictably the author didn't over reach to leave the conclusion open for a forth coming series (so tired of that trend). I look very forward to some diverting adventures of Pimm and Skye ^__^

... moreoks try, but this was on a grand scale rather than one or two exceptional women, so it actually was able to make a good presentation). The problem that I see, is how a second book could not appear trivial compared with the almost apocalyptic end of this one. less
