review 1: What???...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It can't end up like this!!!! Damn it!!!T.A Webb, I hope you know that you're getting me damn broke here!.. *runs to buy the second book*Now, this is a pretty good short story, and I knew I'd make no mistake by picking up another T.A Webb book. Ever since I read "Second Chances" he became one of my very favorite M/M writers. In this book we met Ben and Marcus. Marcus is an ex-cop who lost his partner a couple of years back. While he's not working anymore he still makes rounds at night around his neighborhood, and that's how one night he spots Ben.Ben is a student and... a hooker. He needs money to cost his studies and selling his time seemed like a rather good option, not that he's entirely happy with it. One night Marcus was doin... moreg his rounds when he spotted a guy forcing Ben into his car, he kicks the guy's ass and frees Ben. That night Marcus invites Ben to tag along and have something to eat, and they start getting along pretty well. They keep meeting once a week and the inevitable happens when they both realize they have feelings for each other. Things don't go as smoothly as they'd have wanted to, though.Ben has a past, but his past comes back for him. It is now in Marcus' hands to save "the kid" once more.
review 2: To be honest I can't stomach short serialised stories anymore. However, I've had this in my iPad for an age so figured may as well get it read. Ben is a student, part time manager by day and a hooker by night. Marcus is an ex-cop, turned private eye and vigilante. After his partner was brutally beaten up and shot Marcus has made it his job to clear his neighbourhood of drug dealers and bad people. So much disbelief needs to be suspended here. I mean the story was short everything was rushed and it's just not very well developed. less
