review 1: I had forgotten how disconnected and strange Mafi's writing style is. She describes feelings and thoughts with such detail yet leaves out most all visual details. Her characters are all masters at reading body language and facial expressions which gets a little old after a while. I did like the revelations that were made about Adam and Warner's gifts as well as he further development of Juliette's. I also love that the ending leads us to believe that Juliette has grown up a lot and will be stronger and less in her own head in the next book. I hope this proves to be the case. I will definitely read the final one.
review 2: I was so worried at the end of the first book that I'd be disappointed with the second one. I was so confused because of all the wheird powe
... morers we were introduced to and everything and I really didn't want these books to go all that x-man-ish and fantastic four-ish. But, hey, that didn't happen! The character development is great and we get to know so much more about all of them. Especially Warner. Have I told you that I'm Team Warner? If I haven't, now you know :D. Anyways, I gave this book three stars, but I feel like it will be four, or even five at the end of book three. It gets better with each book, I guess. less
