review 1: This was such a good novella! I was so happy to get a glimpse into how Jase and Tally went from friends to mates. I watched them struggle after Tally got her new gifts, but then the story followed Scout and Liam and then Jase and Tally came back into the picture when they met up on the mountain and everything was fine. We watched how happy they were and could see that something had happened in that time, but we didn't see what happened. Now we get to watch it bloom as they are away at college and Jase struggles to keep his emotions in check while Tally deals with persistent males trying to make her their mate. This is also where we finally find out how a certain person came to be involved with the ragtag team of the Alpha group. If you have read the other books, then don... more't be silly and read this one! It gives back story and fills in blanks that we didn't know about since we were focused solely on Scouts story in the first three books. Happy reading!
review 2: Ok. I read it in one sitting. I loved learning about how Jase and Talley became so sickeningly in love. It was a great companion to the Timber Wolves Series. You always knew why Jase wouldn't let Talley touch him and when he finally gave in, I found I released a breath I didn't know I was holding.My minor gripe: the Scout and Liam epilogue-ish part. Ugh I just can't wrap my head around them! Are we sure they love each other? I just don't see it. I felt it while reading Scout with Alex and now I definitely did with Jase and Talley, but Scout and Liam might as well be strangers who randomly kiss. less
