review 1: Alrighty kids... Solid 4 stars for this fairy tale beginning of a series that begs, borrows, steals from a just about every culture and the folk lore associated with them. Its very cool spin on an ancient civilization coming of age story with some magic and dancing and fairies, of course... and it surprisingly works... and works really really well. Love Dindi and Kavio and pretty much all of the characters... there are several more books in the series so I'm pretty sure I'm set on reading material for awhile. Oh and don't be pissed at the ending of the book, the author promises a happy ending in the tale... it's only the beginning of Dindi's journey. ;)
review 2: Book Review: The Unfinished Song (Book One): InitiateBy: Tara MayaI really enjoyed this book. Wit... moreh the creative writing style, it forces your imagination to soar beyond its usual. The author Tara Maya introduces many intriguing new mystical creatures. Minimal details on the creatures is given. This gives the reader a chance to creatively fill in details. With that said, I recommend this book to anyone who wants to broaden their creative juices, as well to those who love fantasy adventure books.
