review 1: This is a story of a young couple who fall in love, plan on forever and then just ten days into their marriage he's killed in an accident. The story shifts from present day to the development of their romance, but for me the real relationship is between Elsie, the young widow, and Ben's mother who didn't know about the marriage and resents Elsie and this part of her dead son's life she knew nothing about.
review 2: Coming from a reader of her second book first, i can say that this book was not my favorite out of the two. The book was fairly boring to me, i almost found it impossible to pick it up and continue keeping myself in a mood to read it. The plot line from me receives a star the way she combined flash backs with the present day. Which i enjoyed. And an... moreother star for the development i saw in our main characters mother in law Susan. Not her best book. Again i found myself quite bored i just felt like the whole book stretched way to long over her copeing with her husbands death. It wasn't really much else to the book. less
