review 1: This was not a bad series by any means. By the time I got to the final book, the writing did improve quite a bit. I realize this was the first series by the author and it would be a great read for young adults interested in this genre. But for myself, I need something more in the character and story development areas. This was very basic writing and storytelling from my point of view. I did enjoy the books, but if you are thinking Jordan or Martin, don't be surprised if the story does not capture your imagination the way those guys do.All in all, it was enjoyable to read.

I was able to "get to know" the characters and their reasoning and have read the entire series and liked every one of them. I was saddened to find that the author ended the series. I would have liked to find out more information about Traven's past and that of the ancient Wielders. less
