review 1: There comes a time when a book ends up on the DNF (did not finish) pile. Sadly this is one of them.Maybe it is because I have just had a baby, but this book draged on for me. I just could not get into it at all! I started this book back in January when I was almost due to have my 3rd child, and now it is almost the end of May and I still havent finished it.It just doenst hold my attention for very long and the main character Judy comes across as being an annoying wet fish. Sorry to be so blunt but she does - to me anyway.Judy reminded me of a family member when she was pregnat - and not in a good way.I just cant finish this book so for the time being I am going to shelf it - maybe I will get round to finishing it off, but really I dont think it is li... morekely.
review 2: Really enjoyable read. Couldnt put this book down. Light funny reading.Judy is a bit man-intolerant but after a drunken one night stand, she falls pregnant and so the story begins. For a 28 year old, she is startlingly naive, entertaining a male friend who fancies her but doesn't feel the same way, and at the same time she is love with her boyfriend. The pregnancy tales and labour were entertaining and comical. Some of the paragraphs were padded out with minutiae about her friends and colleagues, none of whom you felt a great affinity with, and got the feeling that Judy felt the same indifference. The relationship with her parents is the one that comes alive in the book. Once you're hooked you probably won't be able to put it down until the baby arrives!!! less

An enjoyable book which I struggled to put down. I could see similarities to my own pregnancies.
