review 1: I really think it's more like 2.5 stars, I really did not like Gabe and Hope together. I had high hopes for Gabe and I really did not like Hope. I liked the opening where Sammy comes to her but that was about it. I really disliked how after knowing him for less than a day, she's "in love" with Gabe. I just felt no chemistry whatsoever between these two. I found myself skimming the scenes where it was only Gabe and Hope and looking for Sammy's appearance. The saving grace of the book is Sammy and his antics, hence the 3 stars, not 2.
review 2: Personally, I love this author. With her Nikki Styx series, Terri Garey has taken elements of Creation (God, Angels, etc) & forbidden love to make a tall "twisted" ice cream cone chock full of nuts, toffee, fruity st... moreuff & other cool stuff... If you can get past the twisted take on God (redefined as "The One"), Satan (aka "Sammy"), a Chief Archangel with a "Love Jones", & a Demon with a Heart for a Snotty-nosed little brat, then this just may be the book for you.. less
