The Devil's Bargain
review 1: I really enjoyed this author's take on the whole fallen angel theme and the redemption via self sacrifice. I tend to avoid anything that is "devil" related, but the character of Samael (Sammy) was intriguing and the author writes with light humor which didn't make this too dark and scary in any way for me. I loved the character of Finn-the bad boy rock star who sold his soul at only 16 for the chance to be a rock and roll God. He was perfectly content with his decision until he meets Faith who completely changes his perspective. Archangel Gabriel makes several appearances and I can't wait to read his story, up next!

... moreil)NOTE: I totally picked up Devil Without a Cause on a whim. I have never read anything by Terri Garey before but believe me that will change. This book was wicked smart, funny, and a tad bit smexy! What I Loved: Really I could just write the "whole freaking story rocked" because it really did. This is one of those stories filled with fun times, hard choices, little surprises, and one devil of a dilemma. I don't want to give away the story but I was really moved that both Finn and Faith had very big things to lose if they didn't each keep their bargain with the devil. However, since it was impossible for each of them too, then the journey was very much heart tugging at times. I loved the interactions between Gabriel and Sammy, they were my favorite moments in the book. I also had to grin with Sammy got a "little" surprise towards the end. The mixing of humor and heart-string pulling was done really well and kept me engaged from beginning to end. What I Liked: Finn's staff was great! You just really have to read the last 2 chapters to understand how awesome they really were. There was a moment that I was literally cheering.Complaints: Not a one!Why I gave it a 4.5: Highly entertaining read with a handsome devil and a ring of chaos. How could you go wrong? less

Terri Garey does it again. Loved this story. Can the devil fall in love? Hummm. Great read.

Don't often find a book where every character is completely unlikable. This is one.
