review 1: This book was such a let down. I hate giving Terry Spears a one star rating because I absolutely love her books, but this one simply could not hold my interest. I was bored and couldn't get drawn in like I usually do. Maybe I've been reading too many of her highlander books and the regular ones just don't measure up anymore? I don't know.I started 'Silence of the Wolf' the same day I gave up on this one and I've become totally engrossed in it and I know that it goes along with this same series, so I'm not sure what happened. Totally bummed.

She's on the trail of the mobsters that killed her mother and she's determined to bring them in. But when she's confronted by one of them, all of a sudden this guy comes to her rescue! Of all the nerve! She's doing well on her own, thank you very much. But Jake is one hot looking guy and she's impressed that he knew what she was doing. But she has to get rid of him for his own safety.Loved the chemistry between Alicia and Jake. The plot of the book was just amazing. Really enjoyable to read. The descriptions of the scenery were so well written, you could picture exactly what the author wants you to see.Can't wait to read the next one! less
