review 1: On nights like tonight, it seemed this was the closest she would ever come to dancing among them. She was eighteen years old and still sneaking glimpses through keyholes - all because of one impulsive mistake, made years ago. So wretchedly unfair. When Eliza discovers notorious rogue, Harry Wright, overheard her lamenting over being excluded from all the fun, well...it becomes his obligation to show her true delights. Not so fast! Eliza might be under house arrest (poor judgment from a good girl), but she's not to be manipulated after missing out on all the waltzes, suitors, and stolen kisses. Harry wouldn't dream of it. Tessa Dare stuns in the novella, The Scandalous, Dissolute, No-Good Mr. Wright. Ms. Dare compressed a full length novel into 144 pages of limitless ... morewonder! This was simply fabulous. Instead of rearranging my To Be Read list, authors are being reassembled. *Ms. Dare, I really need you up front for this gushing...* While time hasn't been kind to this pair (they've lost contact more than twice), Harry and Eliza irrevocably meet anew and their latest encounter is approaching the all-consuming variety. Distance, and maturity, have served them well, but their pull, their yearning for one another, never dissipated in its intensity or absence. Gone are the trivial perceptions that contained their feelings -- why waste another moment apart?...That's why you need a man...A man to waltz you around a ballroom. Spin you round and round, until you're breathless and giddy. That's the sort of girl you are, Miss Eliza. A twirler. And if I were the sort of man you think you want, I'd beg to be your first waltz."The dialogue is witty, charming, and oh, so freaking stimulating. Harry keeps you engrossed; desperate for another scene with Eliza. In Harry's company, "his very presence changed the temperature of a room", Eliza loosens the chains of her inner tigress and becomes fierce and bold...befitting of a woman who could sustain Harry's attention. They are masterfully paired. When obstacles of their own "undoing" impede their path, Eliza and Harry are merely stymied. A love like theirs endures. And that's about it, lol! There isn't a mystery to solve or a death to mourn. This is a journey, a heart-throbbing, swoon-worthy, I'll-never-be-complete-without-you love story. It ended much too soon -- an epilogue was sorely missed. Having said that, please go buy this book and experience my joy. Harry Wright can do no wrong! She was alone with the scandalous, dissolute, no-good-"Mr. Wright," she whispered. He inclined his head most civilly. "In the flesh."You will want to BE Eliza during this read (and days after...)
The Scandalous, Dissolute, No-Good Mr. W - Tessa Dare less

Loved it, from the meet-cute a la Rhett and Scarlet to the shades-of-16-Candles ending!
