review 1: Description: After things go south with her long time boyfriend/fiance, Dawn finds herself entangled in a no-strings-attached affair with her cousin-in-law’s brother, Evan, who has sworn off serious relationships after his bitter divorce. But what happens when they both start to catch feelings? This is the sequel to Ms. King’s first novel, FRIENDS.The Good: This was a phenomenal read and a huge improvement in both style and general character development upon it’s predecessor, FRIENDS. I loved that Dawn and her fiance split up not because of his rampant cheating, but because they were, at the end of the day, incompatible. He’s addicted to video games, she loves to go out with her friends, most of whom he feels are snobby. Their problems stemmed more from how little ... morethey have in common. It felt like a real-world break up.As for Evan — I just really liked this hero. He’s great in bed, but he’s also a technical writer with major foot-in-mouth disease and other “real guy” flaws. Once again Ms. King has crafted a couple that you could see getting together in the real world. This was a cute, sweet, and very funny read. The Bad: The fiance provides a compelling obstacle for the first half of the novel, but then just kind of gets dropped in the second half. It felt like that storyline was missing a resolution. The Naughty: Erotic. Explicit language. Sex in front of a mirror. Editing issues: Very minor (counted 2 typos).Publisher: Sugar and Spice PressLength: NovelFinal Grade: B+Happy Reading,Theodora
review 2: 4.5 stars for editing issues and too much of a wham, bam finish for me. I was really looking forward to Dawn and Evan's story after reading 'Friends' so I was expecting a lot more than what was given. And I also thought it read a little choppy in the beginning for quite some time. Still, the story was good, I'll more than likely read it several more times. I just love this author's creative ideas. less

A little dissapointing, their is no chemistry and the author rushed the ending.

Better than the predecessor. I liked Evan. He seemed stable enough for Dawn.
